What Attracts a Woman – Facts on Human Attraction

Human Attraction Couple

Look closely at the person you’re dating, like or are married to. Does s/he have strong features?  The psychology of human attraction is fascinating to study and it depends on all kinds of factors, including reproduction, positive association and much, much more. Want to know why what attracts a woman? Read a few of the things which involve human attraction….

What Attracts a Woman:

1. A larger jaw and prominent brow on a man are more attractive to women

Men can have the opposite face shape, usually. A stronger, prominent brow and jaw equates more testosterone.  Women often find these characteristics attractive.

2. Women like powerful, protective men!

Men who have dominant, powerful and protective characteristics, both physically and behaviorally are more attractive to women.

3. Women like a guy who makes them laugh, AND guys like a woman who laughs at his jokes

Women really mean it when they say that they just want a guy who makes them laugh. A study in 2005, found that women were attracted to men who made them laugh, while men found women attractive when they laughed at their jokes.

4. Hourglass shape

Women can stop aspiring to look like the anorexic models on catwalks and embrace their curves, as long as their waist to hip ratio is in proportion. Men supposedly find women with waist to hip ratio of 0.7 to be the most attractive, no matter what her weight is. Having an hourglass shape is an indicator of a woman’s reproductive capabilities.

What Attracts Women & Men:

1. We’re attracted to people we see on a regular basis

Proximity plays a role in attraction, so if you’ve got a crush, find a way to bump into him/her regularly. People are more likely to hook up (even for the long haul) with someone they’re physically close to.

2. Romantic love might be more important than physical intimacy

Beyond physical intimacy, reproductive potential and proximity, true love is still a powerful influence in forming attraction overall. Scientists who took brain scans of people newly in love found “more activity related to love than s-ex…” reports LiveScience.com.

3. Reciprocal liking

This theory is in direct opposition to unrequited love. Reciprocal liking means that we’re attracted to the person who likes us back. We’re flattered when they like us, which makes us feel good…..which in turn makes us associate positive feelings with that person.
